Vanessa Fox worked with my daughter Axi for more than two years. Through her OT services, Axi made incredible progress in independence and every day functionality. Also, she loved Vanessa because she always showed Axi how much she cared. She is professional and kind.
Vanessa was my son’s occupational therapist for Pre-K and Kindergarten, including aquatic therapy. We’re incredibly thankful to have found her. She listened to our concerns and genuinely cared for our son and our family. She not only helped our son with sensory and fine motor challenges, but also supported us through the IEP process, advocated for the best fit for his school placement, and helped him achieve his goal of successfully mainstreaming to the Gen. Ed classroom. With her help, he went from struggling through PreK to being a model student in kindergarten. My son had fine motor difficulties. Vanessa Fox has been working hard with my son to get his motor skills/confidence advanced. My son starts Kindergarten soon and I was stressed and concerned of how he would get up to speed in time. He had extremely low self-esteem and Vanessa made him feel comfortable. My son looks forward to seeing Vanessa. She has a great personality and is wonderful with children. Vanessa has brought such great relief to my son and myself. Vanessa Fox is a highly skilled Occupational Therapist who worked with our daughter Axi for more than two years. Axi has spastic diplegic cerebral palsy and was adopted from China at five years old. When she came home, she could not sit unattended or care for herself. Under Vanessa’s caring services, Axi can now feed and dress herself, buckle seat belts, write her name, and so much more! Vanessa provided caring but firm guidance and direction, under which Axi flourished. Vanessa also always included me and Axi’s dad in her treatment plans, so we could work with Axi at home. She gave us solid suggestions and advice, answered our questions (and researched answers if she didn’t know them), and helped us think creatively to inspire and motivate our daughter to work hard. Vanessa is so skilled and knowledgeable and offers extra suggestions to help improve her patients’ functionality and level of independence. In our time with her, Vanessa became much more than a therapist. In fact, Axi and our whole family count her as a friend. She is an invaluable member of our team of caring therapists and medical professionals who strive to help Axi achieve her full potential. When Axi makes progress, Vanessa is as excited as we are!
